The ngRADAR Science Advisory Council (SAC)
Community support to the ngRADAR project is established through the Science Advisory Council.
SAC Overview
The Science Advisory Council provides an interface between the scientific community and NRAO, providing feedback and guidance directly to the ngRADAR Project Office on issues that affect the scientific design and potential use cases. The SAC will be selected to cover broad range of expertise relevant to planetary science, planetary defense, space situational awareness, use-case scenarios, and data analysis.
SAC Membership
The ngRADAR Team is requesting participation from the science and technical communities of astronomy, planetary science, and engineering via membership of the ngRadar SAC. The SAC is chaired by Dr. Paul Abell of NASA Johnson Space Center and has received input from a range of subject-matter experts, including those in small bodies, planetary surfaces/interiors, and orbital debris.
