The ngRADAR Technical Advisory Council (TAC)

Community support to NRAO and GBO for the ngRADAR effort is established through the ngRADAR Technical Advisory Council.

TAC Overview

The ngRADAR Technical Advisory Council provides an interface between NRAO and GBO and technical experts within the radar and radio astronomy communities, providing feedback and guidance as we move towards the preliminary and then final design for the ngRADAR system. The TAC will be selected to cover a broad range of technical expertise relevant to radar-array systems, antennas, optics, pointing receiver systems, cryogenics, data transmission, and data processing.

TAC Membership

The ngRADAR Team is requesting participation from the science and technical communities of astronomy, planetary science, and engineering via membership of the ngRADAR TAC. Membership will be determined through open nominations and a selection process involving NRAO/GBO staff and the community.
